Remember that a repeated discovery of the same violation leads to a doubling of the penalty.

There are also penalties for:

• - for not using seat belts while driving 100 zł + 2 demerit points;
• - for using the phone while driving 500 zł;
• - for parking in places for people with disabilities 800 zł;
• - for violating the ban on overtaking another vehicle 1000 zł;
• - for failing to give priority to a pedestrian 1500 zł;
• - for overtaking a vehicle at a pedestrian crossing 1500 zł;
• - for violating the prohibition to enter a railway crossing 2000 zł;
• - for avoiding a lowered barrier or entering an intersection while raising or lowering the barrier 2000 zł;
• - for driving on a highway or expressway in the opposite direction 2000 zł;
• - for failing to give priority to an emergency vehicle 2500 zł;
• - for driving a vehicle while intoxicated 2500 zł minimum;

These fines have been in force in Poland since September 17, 2022.
